Business as usual and campaigning for incremental change has led us into a climate emergency.  With international agreements and national governments failing to stop – let alone reverse – global warming, councils can and are playing a key role in leading the climate emergency response.

CEDAMIA (derived from Climate Emergency Declaration and Mobilisation In Action) campaigns for a Climate Emergency Declaration at all levels of government. We also campaign for state/territory governments to ban new climate-damaging projects via the No More Bad Investments (NMBI) campaigns, and for local councils to implement Climate Emergency plans.

Peoples Climate Assembly

The Peoples’ Climate Assembly is a coalition of action groups working together to make a stand against the ignorance of the Australian government and to demand real action in the face of the climate change emergency.
