Clive Palmer’s has spent close to $1.2m on YouTube ads in less than two months, as it racks up millions of views on its videos criticising lockdowns and government responses to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The party has been splashing cash to promote its videos on YouTube since the former Liberal MP became the party’s parliamentary leader on 23 August, with a massive $1.191m spent between 24 August and 19 October, including as much as $243,000 in one day.
