Public policy
If we want aged care, child care, health care, safety, we need to pay tax at the same level as real grown-up countries. The Reserve Bank – everyone’s getting stuck into it, but perhaps the problem is its charter, not its competence. State of the environment: our land is suffering from years of wilful neglect. A legislated emissions target: will the Greens do another 2008? Our green industrial future – so many options to choose from.
The pandemic and how it’s overloading our hospitals
We need more resources and we need to use them better without burning through our nurses and doctors.
Politics

Public ideas
Neoliberalism is dead but what will replace it? What does “full employment” really mean? Is there really a problem with world supply chains?
